THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT

“Children, not to understand the depths of the Commandments is like walking past a beautiful flower bed that you do not stop to appreciate. You may smell the fragrance, see the beauty, but you do not see My Hand in the depths of the creation. The Commandments are much the same. It is not enough to just know them. You must appreciate the deeper meaning of the Laws I have given you.

The Fourth Commandment is to ‘Honor thy father and thy mother’. This honor must arise from a deep appreciation of the role I have placed your parents in. You, as their child, are charged with respecting their parental authority as a youngster. As your parents age, you are charged with their physical and emotional well-being. To shirk these responsibilities is to profane the Fourth Commandment. When your parents reach old age, you need to assume the role of their caregiver. Not all parents fit the role of good parents. Nonetheless, I chose them to be your parents and you need to accept their role as such. When you honor and respect your parents, you honor and respect Me.

When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them, an expert in the Law, asked him a question to test him: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus answered him: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your spirit. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.”

EL CUARTO MANDAMIENTO
Nuevamente veo una gran llama que he llegado a reconocer como el Corazón de Dios Padre. Dice: “Hijos, no comprender las profundidades de Mis mandamientos es como caminar frente a un hermoso arriate de flores y no detenerse a apreciarlo. Pueden oler la fragancia, ver la belleza, pero no ver Mi Mano en las profundidades de la creación. Es muy parecido con los mandamientos. No basta con conocerlos. Tienen que apreciar el significado más profundo de las leyes que Yo les he dado.”“El Cuarto Mandamiento es: Honrarás a tu padre y a tu madre. Esta honra tiene que surgir de un profundo reconocimiento al rol en que Yo he puesto a sus padres. Ustedes, como hijos de ellos, son responsables de respetar su autoridad paterna cuando son jóvenes. A medida que sus padres envejecen, ustedes son responsables de su bienestar físico y emocional. Eludir estas responsabilidades es profanar el Cuarto Mandamiento.”“Cuando sus padres lleguen a la vejez, ustedes necesitan asumir el rol de sus cuidadores. No todos los padres cumplen el rol de buenos padres. No obstante, Yo los elegí para que fueran sus padres y ustedes necesitan aceptar su rol como tales. Cuando ustedes honran y respetan a sus padres, me honran y me respetan a Mí.”

Cuando los fariseos se enteraron de que Jesús había hecho callar a los saduceos, se reunieron en ese lugar, y uno de ellos, que era doctor de la Ley, le preguntó para ponerlo a prueba: “Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento más grande de la Ley?”. Jesús le respondió: “Amarás al Señor, tu Dios, con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con todo tu espíritu. Este es el más grande y el primer mandamiento. El segundo es semejante al primero: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. De estos dos mandamientos dependen toda la Ley y los Profetas”.
