If you practice any virtue to impress others, it is a false virtue. This is a spiritual pride, the enemy of the soul. But if you practice a virtue as a means of making it part of your heart, the virtue is strengthened in your soul and your personal holiness increases.” “You cannot be humble unless you practice humility. You must understand the virtues that you desire to have. Humility makes the soul desire the background and spurn recognition. These are the little souls who cherish their relationship with God and let all else revolve around it. They do not want to be known as holy, worthy or chosen. They shun compliments or any type of recognition. The humble soul wants only to please God and does not allow anyone or anything to get in the way.” “Humility dictates that the soul shuns esteem or approvals of any sort. These are forms of worldly security. The humble soul finds his security in My Son.” “The danger in humbly seeking the background is you do not reach out to others in need. It is a type of self-centeredness which weakens the virtuous life.” “The soul who considers himself humble is far from humility, just as the one who thinks he is holy is far from personal holiness. Tienen que comprender las virtudes que desean tener. La humidad hace que el alma desee el anonimato y desdeñe el reconocimiento. Estas son las pequeñas almas que valoran su relación con Dios y dejan que todo lo demás se centre en ello. No quieren que se les conozca como santos, valiosos o elegidos. Evitan los cumplidos o cualquier tipo de reconocimiento. El alma humilde solamente quiere agradar a Dios y no deja que nadie ni nada se interponga.” “La humildad determina que el alma evite la estima o cualquier tipo de visto bueno. Éstas son formas de seguridad terrenal. El alma humilde encuentra su seguridad en Mi Hijo.” “El peligro de buscar con humildad el anonimato es que no ayuden a los necesitados. Es un tipo de egocentrismo que debilita la vida virtuosa.” “El alma que se considera humilde está lejos de la humildad, al igual que el que piensa que es santo está lejos de la santidad personal.
